Pupils and their work - Explore, Achieve, Inspire

To celebrate the Rio Olympics everyone in school has taken part in traditional Samba dancing and carnival headdress making, in preparation for the massive 400 plus pupils carnival parade at the opening of the Summer Lincolnshire Games on July 7th .

The Big Project

Sophie the 8ft Tyrannosaurus Rex visited school!
The front of the school was transformed into a prehistoric setting with fake ash/snow falling from the sky and volcanic smoke streaming from the ground.
All pupils took part in an exploration fossil hunt workshop, spending the morning as palaeontologists. It was a fantastic day, where children had hands on learning experiences, which stimulate imaginations and sets the context for the rest of the week’s lessons.
We also invited children from Bucknall Primary School to share in our experience, we made new friends who we plan to work with during lessons via Skype.
Lincs FM joined our event and have filmed the main attraction. They also recorded interviews with our children

Friday Morning - Wellbeing Sessions across the school - Yoga

On Friday mornings, all children across the school will take part in wellbeing activities including Yoga and PSHE.

The lessons are designed to help children understand their own emotions and support them to understand the importance of relaxation through breathing techniques and imagination and visualizing.

It also helps children to become more aware of and respect the needs and feelings of others.

Church School's Festival

Our Year 6 pupils attended the annual Church School's Festival at Lincoln Cathedral. We took part in a variety of activities and a very special act of worship. We were joined by Rev Healy and Mrs Boyd. Everyone commented on what a lovely day it was and how proud we all felt about how our superb pupils conducted themselves all day. They were polite and respectful, fantastic representatives of the school.
